Matthieu Watremez
Associate Partner
In January 2026, Matthieu joined Synapse Executive Search as an Associate Partner to develop digital, IT, and data roles across the firm’s areas of expertise, such as luxury goods, financial services, and industry.
A graduate of ESDES Lyon, Matthieu began his career in recruitment in 2005, quickly specializing in executive and management positions.
In 2009, he expanded his expertise with operational experience in Estonia, where he managed SEO and content strategy for the French market of a Swedish startup, developing a practical understanding of digital professions and online acquisition.
Returning to France in 2011, he specialized in digital, data, and cyber professions.
In 2014, he joined Haussmann Executive Search to create the Digital and New Technologies practice, then moved on to Kienbaum France as Practice Director, working on international assignments for large groups. There, he recruited Chief Digital Officers, Chief Data Officers, CIOs, CISOs, and other C-level executives for all types of organizations (CAC40, SMEs, start-ups).
In 2019, he co-founded his own firm, EFT Executive Search. At the same time, he launched Trusteez, a tech platform for recruitment firms, which he closed after four years in 2025.
